GA Professional Certificate Renewal
Georgia educators can use Six (6) semester hours (6 SH) of college coursework from a GaPSC-accepted, regionally accredited institution to renew their certificate, upgrade their certificate level, and potentially advance on the salary schedule.
- Maximize Your Time: Register for two 3-credit Upward courses (totaling 6 SH). You'll also earn Upward Rewards in the process.
- Grade Requirement: All courses must be completed with a final grade of "B" or better to be accepted by the GaPSC.
- The Transcript is Your Proof: Your official university transcript is the required documentation for the coursework option, validating your professional learning.
GA Salary Advancement
Check with your district administrator to see if graduate-level credit can advance your base salary in your specific GA school district.

Complete Coursework

Earning Credit
- Email your completed coursework to support@upwardteachers.com
- Upward evaluates your coursework within one week of your submission, and submits your grade to UMass Global (our accredited university partner)
- UMass Global posts your grade within five business days of receiving Upward's assessment
- You login to your UMass Global account to order your transcripts. Note that the university is an entirely separate organization from Upward, and any questions on your transcript or university account can be emailed to exed@umassglobal.edu
